Here is an exciting opportunity from the UN.
We are excited to share a free and exciting opportunity for primary and secondary school Teachers worldwide. Global Schools, an initiative of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, is opening its second cohort of the Advocates program to help schools develop a long-term strategy to implement Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in their curricula. This program will provide support to the Global Schools network of 1,000+ schools, 45,000+ teachers and 850,000+ students in 80 countries, and also extend the opportunity for new Teachers to join the Global Schools network. All teachers are encouraged to apply!
Teachers that apply to join the Advocates Program will receive access to powerful tools and resources, including:
Free online training course and professional development workshops to build their capacity to integrate sustainable development in their lessons, classrooms, and school activities;
Ability to join a global community of practice with like-minded teachers working to implement lessons on global issues, as well as participate in the forefront of efforts taken by the United Nations, government, and civil society in developing and leading a global movement for sustainable development.
A title as a Global Schools Advocate for the UN SDSN.
Support and suggested activities on the teacher’s journey to implement a long-term strategy on education for sustainable development in school communities.
We are calling on teachers from around the world to step forward and apply for this incredible opportunity! The entire program is free for participants, and we invite all committed teachers worldwide to apply if they are passionate about making a difference in school communities and joining a global network of like-minded educators.
